Neighborhood Information
Wolf Ranch Parks and Recreation – The overall plan for Wolf ranch has 300 acres of parks and open space including 7 city parks, 2 neighborhood pocket parks, 5 wetland ponds, and Wolf Ranch Lake which is a large 14 acre lake planned for an area south of Briargate Parkway. 10 miles of trails for hiking, biking and walking will tie the community spaces together.
Westcreek Park was the first Wolf Ranch city park which has playground equipment, picnic tables, pavilion, seating and an in-line roller hockey/basketball court.
The Gateway Park at Wolf Ranch has a large pavilion with a tranquil pond, waterfall and amazing mountain views. Picnic tables, benches, Wireless Internet (Wi-Fi) hot spot add to this wonderful park. Wolf Ranch Residents can go to Free Summer Concerts at Gateway Park on a weekly basis.
Abbey Pond is a wetlands pond in the Westcreek neighborhood and boasts beautiful wildlife and vegetation. Trails lead through this educational environment that borders a neighborhood pocket park.
The first planned Wolf Ranch Recreation Center is located in the Westcreek neighborhood of Wolf Ranch and provides a 6-acre park setting with a club house (Wi-Fi ready), splash park and swimming pool.
The Club House offers many social options like year round holiday programs and activities, scrapbooking and crafts, group and children’s fitness programs, wine tastings, Kids’ Night Out, Howl-O-Ween and more.
The Splash Park is designed to provide a safe setting for all ages in an enclosed area with water features like bucket trio, geysers, jet squirts, a rainbow spray, and more. The Junior Olympic-size pool is heated with depths from 4-5 feet. Swim lessons are available for all ages and lap lanes are provided as needed.
Plenty of recreation can be found just outside of Wolf Ranch. Pine Creek Golf Club, Flying Horse Golf Club, Springs Ranch Golf Club, Gleneagle Golf Club, and the Antler Creek Golf Course can all be reached within 20 minutes. The Cottonwood Creek Trail goes for miles to Cottonwood Creek Park and connects to miles of other trails for walking, running, and biking all over the Pikes Peak Region.
