It’s that time of the year again! The 2012 Parade of Homes in Colorado Springs kicks off on August 3rd and ends on the 19th. It is perfect time to see the latest innovations in home building and pickup some great design ideas. There are 24 homes featured in the Parade this year with the majority of homes being located in 3 neighborhoods in Colorado Springs.

Banning Lewis Ranch will feature homes by Classic Homes, Oakwood Homes and Richmond American Homes.

Flying Horse will feature homes by Bella Vita Custom Homes, Classic Homes and Saddletree Homes.

Meridian Ranch will feature homes by Classic Homes, Century Communities, Majestic Custom Homes, Richmond American Homes and Saint Aubyn Homes.

About 2012 Colorado Springs Parade of Homes:

  • Dates: August 3 - 19 Times: 10AM - 6PM
  • Tickets are $10 for Adults (under 18 Free) and $5 for Seniors.  Tickets will be available at all area Safeway stores beginning July 23 and at LaZBoy Furniture Galleries or any of the Parade homes. Complimentary active duty military tickets will be available at Mike Shaw Buick-GMC.

The beautiful Black Forest area on the northern edge of Colorado Springs was named by a German immigrant who noticed a striking resemblance with the many Ponderosa Pines found here and Germany's own famous Black Forest. 200,000 acres make up the large area in Black Forest, Colorado Springs. Homes in Black Forest can be found in a number of different styles and price ranges. 2007 Colorado Springs Parade of Homes

It is that time of year again!  The Parade of Homes is in progress.  It started on August 17 and goes until September 2.  There are a total of 46 homes to view in the parade.  The most exciting homes to see are the 16 that are over 1 million dollars.  Do not let that stop you from viewing the other homes in the parade as well.  The main parade sites are The Black Forest Reserve and The Preserve at Walden.  Cordera has some homes that are grouped together, and the rest are scattered all around Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs, Monument, and Woodland Park.  The tickets are $10 for adults, and free if under 18 or over 65 years old.  Active military can get free tickets (see parade website below for details).  Enter to win a pool table from Backyards & Billiards if you get your ticket stamped at 25 of the parade homes. 
The parade is great for taking in design ideas, so bring your camera!  It is also a great way of seeing what the different builders can do.  If you are looking to build, make sure to contact your Realtor so they can help you find the best builder for your needs.
